Semester abroad

At the Elgoibar School of Dual Engineering, the internationalisation semester (1st semester of the 4th year) enables students to gain academic and professional experience in an international setting, enriching their education and personal development. During this semester, students can immerse themselves in a foreign country, discover new industrial or academic environments, improve their language skills, and learn about different cultures and ways of life.
Students can choose the option that best suits their interests:

Option 1: ‘Mission Abroad’ module (10 ECTS), consisting of a work placement at a foreign organisation from September to November, and optional modules (20 ECTS) at the School from November to January.

Option 2: A full semester of academic mobility at a foreign university (30 ECTS).

Option 3: DUAL module (10 ECTS) at the student’s usual company and elective modules at the School (20 ECTS). This option does not require international mobility.

Through these options, students can develop academically, professionally and personally, building key skills for a globalised world and gaining invaluable international experience.
