Social Commitment

Promoting the use of Basque language in the workplace.

At the IMH we have assumed the commitment to promote the use of the Basque language at work, both internally and towards the machine tool sector.

We believe that the company that manages its languages is on the right track to be advanced. In the same way that quality, the environment, prevention and equality are taken into account, we understand that the linguistic management of the languages that coexist in a company is essential.

Being part of the Basque society, our objective will be to be able to work in Basque normally, in coexistence with the other languages.

Conferences to promote the Basque language in the machine tool sector

With the aim of promoting the use of the Basque language in the company and especially in the machine tool sector, the IMH organised a cycle of annual conferences for 10 consecutive years (30+10 mintegia) together with Ahize-AEK, in collaboration with Elgoibar Town Hall, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Basque Government. The IMH continued the cycle by initiating a new one called Hizkelan, organised by Laneki.
