VLF4EU project: first VLF4EU International Conference
IMH Campus will participate in the first VLF4EU International Conference, taking place on October 14, 2026, at Fieramilano Rho, Milan, as part of the 35.BI-MU trade fair, dedicated to machine tools, robotics, automation and digital manufacturing.
The event will bring together training centres, companies and specialists to share applications of Virtual Learning Factories in advanced manufacturing.
As the coordinating organisation of the European VLF4EU project, IMH Campus will take part in the conference, placing industrial training and cooperation between educational institutions and companies at the centre of the event.
Under the title "VIRTUAL LEARNING FACTORIES, SKILLS AND PEDAGOGY FOR THE TWIN TRANSITION", the conference will address how physical, virtual and hybrid Learning Factories can contribute to developing the skills needed for industry's digital and green transition.
The event will combine presentations, roundtable discussions, demonstrations and practical workshops. The planned topics include the project's study on existing skills gaps in European manufacturing, digital twins, immersive technologies applied to training, and pedagogical methodologies and micro-credentials linked to Virtual Learning Factories.
The approach will be practical: implementation experiences will be shared, teachers' needs will be analysed, and ways of bringing these technologies into real teaching and learning situations will be explored.
A EUROPEAN ALLIANCE CONNECTING EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY
VLF4EU is funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme and aims to promote a European alliance of Virtual Learning Factories connecting Vocational Education and Training (VET) centres, universities, SMEs and industrial associations.
The project seeks to integrate technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and digital twins into training processes, and to support the development of digital and green skills.
For IMH Campus, this collaboration is linked to its mission of developing the capabilities of people and companies in the advanced and digital manufacturing sector.
